The former president has said that there is “a lot of talk” about voter fraud in Pennsylvania’s largest city

There have already been a lot of reports of alleged voter fraud in Philadelphia, according to former President Donald Trump. The Republican nominee has been neck and neck with Democratic rival Kamala Harris in the polls, particularly in battleground states such as Pennsylvania.

Writing on his Truth Social account on Tuesday, Trump stated that there is “a lot of talk about massive CHEATING in Philadelphia,” without elaborating. “Law enforcement coming,” he warned.

The Philadelphia Police Department told CNN that it is unaware of any voting irregularities taking place in the state that would require the involvement of law enforcement.

The City Commissioner of Philadelphia, Seth Bluestein, has rejected Trump’s suggestion of fraud, stating in a post on X that “there is absolutely no truth to this allegation” and that voting has been “safe and secure.”

First US media projections call states for Trump and Harris: LIVE UPDATES

Earlier Trump published a video on his social media platforms stating that Republicans are doing “really well,” calling on his supporters to stay in line and make sure they “get through and vote.”

“We’re gonna have a big victory tonight,” the former president said.

The Republican National Committee has also launched a campaign dubbed ‘Protect The Vote’ urging US citizens to “stay in line” no matter what.

“If you’re there before the official close of polls, don’t let anyone intimidate you or force you out of line,” reads a message issued by the GOP. Voters have also been encouraged to report any issues at the polling station or suspicions of voter fraud to the campaign’s official website.

Various polls conducted in the run up to the election have suggested that neither the Republican nor the Democratic candidate have a decisive advantage coming into the vote. Meanwhile, according to a CBS News exit poll, more than half of Trump supporters say they are not sure that Tuesday’s vote is being conducted fairly. At the same time, 88% of Harris supporters believe in the integrity of the vote.
