Tony Khan adds a 13th match to AEW Full Gear, and this one has a mystery

AEW Full Gear takes place this Saturday (Nov. 22) at Prudential Center in Newark, New Jersey. The event begins with the one hour long Tailgate Brawl at 7 pm, which you can watch on TNT and/or HBO Max, before the pay-per-view (PPV) portion of the card begins at 8 pm ET.

Even though last night’s go home episode of Dynamite & Collision added several new matches to Full Gear, it’s not a Tony Khan pay-per-view unless the total match count approaches 13 or 14. With that in mind, one more bout was added overnight to the Tailgate Brawl. HOOK and Eddie Kingston issued an open challenge for a tag team match, so that the Mad King can take out his frustrations on some fools after dealing with the TSA.

It sounds like Eddie and HOOK’s opponents will remain a mystery until showtime. This may be similar to last month’s Tailgate Brawl at WrestleDream, where Eddie and HOOK beat Frat House in a three minute filler match.

The Tailgate Brawl at Full Gear already had three notable matches announced featuring the likes of Kazuchika Okada, Costco Guy “Big Boom” AJ, and a $200K money match. There isn’t much time to squeeze in a fourth competitive match during that pre-show hour, so perhaps Okada’s match will overlap into the main card, just like FTR did last month at WrestleDream.

Here is the updated card of 13 matches scheduled for Full Gear.

  • Hangman Page (c) vs. Samoa Joe in a Steel Cage for the AEW world title
  • Kris Statlander (c) vs. Mercedes Mone for the AEW women’s world title
  • Brodido (c) vs. FTR for the AEW world tag team championship
  • Kyle Fletcher (c) vs. Mark Briscoe in a No DQ match for the TNT title; Briscoe joins Callis family if he loses
  • Ricochet, Bobby Lashley, and many more in a Casino Gauntlet match for the new AEW National title
  • Kenny Omega & Jurassic Express vs. Young Bucks & Josh Alexander, winners get $1 million
  • Timeless Love Bombs vs. Babes of Wrath vs. Sisters of Sin vs. Megan Bayne & Marina Shafir
  • Kyle O’Reilly vs. Jon Moxley in a No Holds Barred match
  • Darby Allin vs. PAC
  • Mistico, Dorada & Neon (c) vs. Okada, Takeshita & Hechicero for the CMLL world trios title (pre-show)
  • “Big Boom” AJ & QT Marshall vs. Trent Beretta & Rocky Romero (pre-show)
  • Outrunners vs. Acclaimed vs. Bang Bang Gang vs. Big Bill & Bryan Keith, winners get $200,000 (pre-show)
  • Eddie Kingston & HOOK vs. TBA in an open challenge (pre-show)
