The Summer Olympic Games are in full swing, and while all the world has eyes on Paris, the City of Love is playing host to tens of thousands of visitors eager to play a different kind of game. According to data collected by Tinder, there has been a staggering 20% increase in Swipe activity in France since the start of the Games, with an 103% increase in Tinder Passport usage set in France. Translation? A whole lot of people are trying to use the Olympic Games to meet and hook up. The full data set Tinder shared is even more granular, and reveals some fascinating insights into how impactful a major sporting event can be on the local hookup scene. RELATED: Best Dating Apps for Hooking Up One key takeaway is that a whole lot of Tinder users are making good use of Passport Mode, the feature that allows them to search and swipe on singles far away from where they actually live. It's extremely useful for people who travel or who are planning on moving soon, since you can just set a city or drop a pin on a location and start swiping as if you're already living there, allowing you to arrange meetups and dates in advance.  According to Tinder, Passport Mode is used over 145,000 times a day, amounting to over 100 billion kilometers of virtual travel each year, but there are three countries in particular that are using Passport Mode to hone in on France in general and Paris in particular: the United States, Brazil and Turkey. There's also been a noticeable uptick in the inclusion of sports as an interest in Tinder user bios, with football, basketball and swimming ranking as the most popular, though both basketball and gymnastics have the distinction of being the fastest growing sports among user interests.  And while it's almost certainly the case that the vast majority of these new users are fans rather than athletes, Tinder has shared some data suggesting that Olympians are actually looking for love between events as well. Tinder user profiles in Paris have seen a 52% increase in the number of people listing "Olympian" in their job description, and a 43% increase in those listing "athlete," which suggests that some lucky people out there have the chance to hook up with a potential Olympic medalist.  There's also a (relatively) new Tinder feature that athletes, celebrities and anyone with a high profile can appreciate: Incognito Mode. It's a premium feature, only available to those paying for Tinder, but it's extremely useful, especially if you're trying to keep a low profile, because it hides you from the general search, only making you discoverable to people you've already swiped on.  Are some of the Olympic Games' most high profile athletes secretly swiping left and right between bouts for the podium? The only way to find out is to download Tinder and set your location to France. Bonne chance!  You Might Also Dig:  How to Use Tinder for Hooking UpHow to Write an Online Dating ProfileBrain Chemicals That Fuel Your Sex Life
