Thousands flee Mali as JNIM blockade triggers new wave of displacement

Over the past two weeks, thousands of Malians have escaped westward toward the Mauritanian border as an al Qaeda-linked JNIM blockade continues to cut off entire communities. Most who managed to reach Mauritania say they have no intention of returning, citing the relentless violence that has plagued the region since 2012. France 2’s Cautlin Kelly has the report.
