This is the end of the road for them, because they keep losing their game for sure’: Former Man United captain Wayne Rooney finally reveals Chelsea situation

Wayne Rooney has warned Chelsea that Bolton will be difficult opponents.

Wayne Rooney has warned Chelsea that Bolton Wanderers will be difficult opponents on Saturday afternoon.

The Manchester United striker has helped fire Sir Alex Ferguson’s side to within seven points of leaders Chelsea in the Premiership table.

After United entertain Sunderland at Old Trafford, live on PremPlus on Good Friday, with a home victory confirming the Wearsiders’ relegation, Chelsea must travel to Bolton on Saturday lunchtime.

Rooney was part of the United side that won 2-1 at The Reebok Stadium recently and he thinks Jose Mourinho’s men will be in for a similarly difficult examination.

“It’s a difficult place to go, especially with the pitch, which isn’t the best around as we saw,” he told United Review.

“Their fans get right behind them as well, which also makes it difficult but we did well under the circumstances and deserved the three points.”

Rooney is relishing the battle for places in the United attack with Louis Saha and Ruud van Nistelrooy.

“Louis is a big, strong lad,” commented the England international. “He makes a lot more runs in behind and he’s scoring lots of goals.

“And Ruud, well Ruud’s just a poacher!

“He holds the ball up well and gets so many goals through the season and you can’t argue with that.”
