THE POWER OF MENTORSHIP (PART A)

Most people are thinking that I have never mentioned anybody as my mentor. Many thinks that they can be great without a mentor. If you show me a man that gets to the top without a mentor, I will show you a man that becomes successful without a skill — and that's impossible. 

Most people don't fail because they lack potential, they fail because they never discovered their purpose. Many people are just walking about in their lives to make it great without applying for mentorship, they won't get there. I was privileged to study as early as possible, the beginning of my personal development was from 12 years old. At 13 years old, I had this burden for business and charity — at 13 years old. 

Mentor is someone that have great experience or knowledge on a given field. Even Jesus Christ was mentored by scholars of the law and doctrines at the age of 12. King David was mentored into kingship by King Saul. Apostle Paul registered under the mentorship of Peter, for he went back to Jerusalem to meet Peter and spend some time with the church in Jerusalem. Now watch, after that meeting, Apostle Paul was more educated in the Knowledge of Jesus Christ than when he never met Peter.

No one attained to the top without someone at the top showing him the way. The voice telling you, that you don't need anyone, you can do it alone — Executive, that is ego. And ego takes no man to anywhere. I registered under the mentorship of the Word of God. I may not have physical one-to-one mentor, but I have consumed teachings from great people in different fields of my interests.

Mentorship enable you to escape the suffering, it enables you to achieve success quickly. Mentorship is the ladder every man needs to get his dream come through. When Kingsley Jackson Samuel said I am his mentor in business, I laughed because he is saying the truth. It took one year for Kingsley Jackson Samuel to start stock trading and become a teacher in the field, I was shocked when I saw PhD holders and BSc degree holders learning stock market from someone that graduated with HND and currently serving in NYSC. 

Mentorship is great, we overlooked it. Here is a story: Augustine and Chinaza are friends and they want to be rich business owners. Augustine have the skill of web development, Chinaza have the skill of palm oil production. Augustine jumped in the web development business, and Chinaza went to seek for mentors that will teach him, how to be wealthy and global doing business. 

Chinaza registered under the mentorship of two great different businessmen, and keep learning from online via materials, videos, and news reports. Augustine always open shop, and continue the routine everyday. Chinaza with the knowledge from experience and successfully giants, little by little was applying what he was learning into his palm oil production. Overtime not overnight, overtime, Chinaza became a millionaire before his 30s. Augustine began thinking "maybe money dey for palm oil business ooo".

Pause! Do you see the difference, the difference is not the business — the difference is knowledge. Chinaza have knowledge to make wealth that Augustine thought that life rewards efforts. Executive, from Book of Ecclesiastes; we were told that life does not reward efforts, that life rewards knowledge behind the efforts.

Over familiarity have taken no one to greatness. I said it, familiarity have taken no one to greatness. John the Baptist was Jesus's cousin, but Jesus went to him. Today, because your cousin is making progress, you are thinking he will carry you along. Me, Didi-Omah, will never. Ask any of my relatives, if I have messaged them anything about business — it is not pride, it is knowing what you want and how to get it, go and found out.

As I am like this, I still learn from children, I will open up to them, hello how did you do this — I like it, can you teach me. I learnt five magic words from my sister, Divine. I learnt how to cook some food from my sister, Princess. I learnt about Opera News Hub, the foundation of my professional blogging in 2020 from my brother, Progress. I am the senior, pride kills.

You go about showing how tall you are in height but you are hungry in your stomach. What a poor future I see you in? I learnt something from my neighbour's children. And when they are saying, I thought uncle Augustine this thing. Yes, they have right, I applied under their mentorship. Executive.

I respect Kingsley Jackson Samuel till date because he is my roommate, my course mate, and my friend. But when I was teaching him business, it was as if he paid a bigger person to teach him. Today, he is smiling, I am happy. Your mentor can be your senior or your younger, as long as they are well knowledgeable and experienced in the field more than you. And Jesus did not perform much miracles there because of over familrity.

Even Jesus Christ did not do much teaching and miracles in his home town because of familrity. Another power of mentorship, most people don't know: I am privileged to learn a lot and read many books. For example, I read(red) 30 books on stocks market, and some materials on investments. And Kingsley enrolled under my mentorship, will he go what I went through — no! Why? Because I have learnt a lot, and I will make it easier for him not to make mistakes and he will enjoy the success quickly.

We all need mentor for we to be able to be great. It is following the footsteps of giants that makes you a giant. There is no sport star today without a coach, there is no successful music artist today without a mentor. So you are eyeing to be successful you need to have a mentor. A mentor that will guide you through the process so that you can be outstanding in your field.

Peter and John didn't go to school, Jesus went to school. Peter and John did not have vase knowledge on the law aside fishing, but Jesus Christ did. Peter and John enrolled under the mentorship of Jesus Christ for three years — what happened. In the book of Acts, we discovered that, the Pharisees and the Sadducees and the people were amazed by the boldness and knowledge, these men exhibited — look at the next line, because they have been with Jesus Christ.

Mentorship shortened the years of mistakes and struggles. It took me a year for doacWeb to go global, but that did not happen under prayers and churching, it happens under me being thoroughly educated on global market. Because you cannot operate in the global market with local knowledge. It took Isaac up to forty years to know the laws and customs of God from Abraham; but it took Peter and John three years. The difference is mentorship.

Who is your mentor? Most of you are just saying, my mentor! My mentor. They are just adjective of words. You are saying, Bishop David Oyedepo is your mentor, are you applying his teachings in your life or business. You must follow the process or else you remain raw material. Every product have a process, so every progress have its process. When you jump a step towards achieving your goal, your goal will elude you entirely. Watch it!

Once you have identified your calling or field or pathway, get a mentor if you are serious about it. I was composing musics for fun, that's why I never get a music coach — if I was serious, by now I would be a great music artist, right! So you want to be great, you need someone that is already great and have proves that he is great to learn from. Executive.

In the book of Isaiah, God said come to me, that I may show you the way and teach you how to make profit — profit. King David said, you (Lord) teaches my hands how to fight battles. After I came across this mentioned passage, I kneeled down and say to God: Father I don't know how to beg and I don't want to be a poor businessman — you are the one that called me with this burden for business and charity. Show me the way and teach me how to be a trillionaire. I didn't say millionaire or billionaire, my eyes is on trillions of any currency of the world. 

And Adonay is guiding me, that is to say, I have automatically registered under the wealth class of God. Because it is written in the book of Deuteronomy 8 vs. 18; do not forget the God that gives you power to make wealth. Executive, after I prayed that prayer, God did not give me money, He gave me ideas daily to become trillionaire, little by little. Only applications of knowledge is what brings the results of wisdom.

Who is your mentor? When we pray for money, God gives us idea. When we tell God who we want to be, He gives us people He has prepared in the way to lead us rightly to the place. The Lord is my Shepherd, and a Shepherd is a mentor to the sheeps. Sit up! You need a mentor, you need a coach — or else you will just go about and expire your prime time achieving nothing. Get yourself a mentor today! Be serious or be small! Executive.
