The ZaRuca breakup will have to wait another week

I don’t know about you, dear reader, but to me it’s felt like every week for the past six months Sol Ruca and Zaria have been on the brink of breaking up. There has been miscommunication after miscommunication, some accidental physicality, some match costing, lost titles, and far too much complaining. It all came to a head on this week’s episode of NXT television, where they were put in a tag team match where whoever earned the winning fall would be awarded the next shot at Jacy Jayne and the NXT women’s championship.

The two couldn’t get on the same page regarding who exactly should emerge victorious here. Ruca seemed to favor playing it straight up and letting the chips fall where they may while Zaria felt as though her partner has had enough opportunities and it’s her time to take a crack at it. Naturally, then, every time Ruca would attempt a pinfall, Zaria was there to pull her off.

Until the end, when Ruca tagged herself in, and they both put themselves in position to win, Zaria with the F-5 and Ruca with the Sol Snatcher. When the referee counted three, Sol was awarded the victory and therefore the match against Jayne next Tuesday night.
