The clock struck 11 p.m. Central last night, and I immediately clicked play on Taylor Swift’s newest album, The Life of a Showgirl. I mean, of course, I had to stay up to be one of the first to listen. There’s just nothing like listening to a new Taylor Swift album for the first time, dissecting the lyrics, and picking out instant favorites.

When I first saw the 12-song tracklist that Taylor shared a few weeks ago, I had two thoughts. First, this feels short for a Taylor Swift album, and I’m suspicious. Second, 12 songs, 12 zodiac signs. Did Taylor do this on purpose? She must’ve, because after listening to the entire album, it was abundantly clear which song belonged to which zodiac sign.

If you’re wondering if your sign is more “Honey,” “CANCELLED!,” or “The Fate of Ophelia,” keep reading. Here is The Life of a Showgirl song you are, based on your zodiac sign. (And while you’re here, find out The Taylor Swift Album You Are, Based on Your Zodiac Sign, now that there are 12 albums too!)

Aries

Aries is all about bold action, and “The Fate of Ophelia” opens The Life of a Showgirl with a bang. This fire sign is the trailblazer of the zodiac: bold, impatient, and always ready for a thrill. “The Fate of Ophelia” has that exact same energy. It’s passionate, intense, and fearless. The perfect anthem for diving headfirst into the chaos. The poppy beat mirrors Aries’ fast and fiery energy, and the intense lyrics convey an “act first, think later” energy that Aries can relate to.

Taurus

Taurus is ruled by Venus, the planet of love and pleasure, so “Ruin the Friendship” is their TLOAS pick. Soft, romantic, and nostalgic, this track is about Taylor’s regret over not taking the next step with her crush. Taylor’s wistful lyrics tap into this earth sign’s sentimental side, without being dramatic or messy. Sweet and wistful, this track encompasses Taurus’s desire for true love that lasts.

Gemini

“Actually Romantic” feels like it was written for witty and sarcastic Gemini. A diss track allegedly aimed at another popstar, Taylor claps back at them with clever and unpredictable lyrics that made my jaw drop. It’s sweet-sounding but razor-sharp. Gemini’s love languages are sarcasm and irony, and this song leans into that completely. All I know is, you don’t want to cross a Gemini and get the “Actually Romantic” treatment.

Cancer

Eldest Daughter” simply has to go to Cancer. This piano-driven ballad feels like a vulnerable diary entry, written by an emotional Cancer. Full of heartfelt lyrics, this song mirrors Cancer’s instinct to love deeply and quietly. It also nods to the responsibility and vulnerability Cancer holds onto, especially with the lyric, “Every eldest daughter was the first lamb to the slaughter.” Our tender-hearted Cancers are the caretakers of the zodiac, and this song reflects the weight they carry.

Leo

Leo was born for the stage, and this duet featuring Sabrina Carpenter captures Leo’s essence: dramatic, glamorous, and magnetic. Taylor and Leos know that there is a cost to the spotlight, but they love the attention too much. And they “wouldn’t have it any other way,” as Taylor put it.

Virgo

“Opalite” feels exactly like a Virgo giving you advice mid-breakdown. The song feels hopeful but realistic, practical but still deeply caring—just like the balance Virgos bring to any situation. Virgo loves order and control, and they’ll appreciate the clean production and polished structure of this track. Plus, the lyrics reflect their belief in growth, lessons, and quiet resilience.

Libra

Libra, ruled by Venus, loves all the romantic vibes, and“Honey” is arguably one of the most romantic tracks on the album. It’s balanced, light, and chic, just like Libra. Lyrics like “You touched my face, redefined all of those blues when you say honey” capture Libra’s love of sweetness and reassurance. Harmonious, charming, and romantic, “Honey” is everything Libras could want in a pop song and in love.

Scorpio

Intense and mysterious not only describe the song “CANCELLED,” but also our moody Scorpios. Scorpios are all about loyalty, and in this song, Taylor shares that despite her friends getting cancelled, she’s still on their side. Never one to back down from a fight, Scorpios love transformation and resilience, and this track is all about coming back sharper than before, despite the challenges and judgment.

Sagittarius

Sagittarius is the wild child of the zodiac—adventurous, free-spirited, and a little cheeky. This fire sign never takes itself too seriously, so it definitely connects with “Wood,” an upbeat pop song with a lot of nuance. Filled with wordplay and playful lyrics, “Wood” screams Sag through and through. It’s an anthem about living in the moment, laughing at superstitions, and enjoying the ride.

Capricorn

Serious, ambitious, and strong, Capricorns don’t take any prisoners. Neither does Taylor in “Father Figure” as she channels The Godfather energy. Capricorns understand authority and ambition, and this mafia-boss anthem embodies their drive. It’s structured, commanding, and powerful—exactly like a Capricorn.

Aquarius

Aquariuses are the manifestors of the zodiac, and “Wi$h Li$t” is all about dreaming of a new future. This air sign doesn’t need to be in the spotlight, and actually rejects it. In this track, Taylor dreams about leaving behind the fame and spectacle for a real connection and a basketball hoop in the driveway. It’s romantic and clearly about her hopes for the future with Travis, but it’s done in a slightly unconventional way rather than mushy or traditional. Aquarians love to rebel and walk to the beat of their own drums, and this song embodies choosing substance over status.

Pisces

Pisces are dreamy and glamorous, just like Taylor’s song “Elizabeth Taylor.” The dramatic harmonies and sensual energy speak right to this water sign, always in need of an emotional escape. Pisces are seeking a love that is larger than life, filled with passion and drama. This cinematic ballad gives all of that.
