The Pune-based startup did not disclose the size of the investment.

FITTR said Sharma spent several months engaging with founder and CEO Jitendra Chouksey and the startup’s leadership team before deciding to invest. During that period, he assessed the startup’s business, objectives and long-term growth plans.

The startup said the partnership is based on a shared focus on sustainable health habits, consistency and informed lifestyle choices, as it works to expand its preventive health offering.

Chouksey said rising lifestyle-related health challenges had made it important for people to return to the fundamentals of movement, nutrition, consistency and personal responsibility.

“At FITTR, we have always believed there are no shortcuts to good health. Rohit not only shares this belief but also lives it every day. We are delighted that our discussions have now evolved into him joining us as an investor and partner,” he said.

“I have spent time with the team, understood the business and seen the growth opportunity first hand. The fundamentals are strong, the mission is clear and there is an opportunity to create meaningful and lasting impact by helping people adopt healthier lifestyles. Doubling down was an easy decision,” Sharma said.

FITTR has raised about $17 million from investors including Rainmatter, Dream11, Peak XV Partners’ Surge and actor Suniel Shetty.
