The Gunmen Pretended To Be Looking For Where To Sit But Pulled Out AK-47s And Began Shooting- Akogun

According to a report by the Punch News on Monday, 6, 2025, Akogun, a resident that stays around the Ojo area where gunmen attacked a crowded snooker spot revealed that the gunmen pretended to be looking for where to sit but pulled out AK-47s and began shooting.

Akogun recounted the incident, saying the gunmen stormed the snooker spot around 9 pm. The spot is close to the Ojo military barracks and is usually crowded. The gunmen walked in dressed in native attire, blending in like regular people. They pretended to look for a seat but suddenly pulled out what appeared to be AK-47 rifles and started shooting indiscriminately.

He added that people panicked and ran for safety, but some were hit by bullets. The mallam selling noodles beside the snooker spot was the first to be killed. The gunmen’s swift and sudden departure was unnoticed in the chaos, as everyone had already fled to save their lives.
