trader joe's non-alcoholic drinks

Trader Joe’s may have a cult-favorite wine section—remember the good old days when Two Buck Chuck actually cost $2?—but their alcohol-free drinks deserve just as much attention. And with Dry January in full swing, now is the time to make sure your pantry is stocked with delicious juices, sparkling waters, teas, and mocktail ingredients so you can wet your whistle without catching a buzz. Of course, these non-alcoholic options are great to keep on hand all year long, too.

Whether you’re just trying to cut down on drinking, consider yourself sober curious, or have fully cut alcohol out of your life, these Trader Joe’s drinks are worth picking up next time you head to the store. And with seasonal sips cycling in and out throughout the year, you’re sure to find new and exciting NA options on every visit. Want to make your booze-free drink even more fun? Consider serving it out of a stylish glass or adding frozen fruit as a garnish. You won’t miss the bar at all.

1. Sparkling Coconut Water with Yuzu

I love drinking coconut water during the summer for a hydration boost, but this sparkling yuzu-infused version sounds good enough to sip on year-round. If you’re not familiar with yuzu, this citrus fruit tastes like a cross between a lemon, grapefruit, and mandarin orange. Bright, tangy, and subtly sweet, it’s the perfect complement to this fizzy beverage.

2. Something Spritzy Sparkling Festive Beverage

If you love an Aperol spritz but are looking for an NA alternative, this spritz-inspired beverage is for you. It’s light, effervescent, and made with aromatic bitters that make it taste extra festive. However, this beverage is a limited-run item as part of Trader Joe’s holiday lineup, so be sure to stock up soon before it sells out.

3. Guava Paloma Agua de Kefir

You’ve probably heard of kombucha, which is made from fermented tea. Now meet its water-based cousin: agua de kefir. Packed with probiotics, this version is flavored with grapefruit juice, guava purée, and a touch of habanero juice. It’s essentially a riff on a paloma cocktail, but way better for your gut.

4. Italian Blood Orange Soda

Keep a bottle of this blood orange soda on hand for when you’re craving something sweet, fruity, and fizzy. It’s best served in a cute glass with ice and an orange slice for a fancy twist.

5. Lemon Elderflower Soda

Hugo spritz girlies, this one’s for you! These sparkling sodas are packed with lemony goodness and just the right amount of elderflower (the predominant flavor in St. Germain liqueur, a favorite for spritzes). Top your glass with a slice of lemon or a sprig of mint for an extra special touch.

6. 100% Red Tart Cherry Juice

Who needs a nightcap when you can mix up a sleepy girl mocktail instead? Grab a bottle of this red tart cherry juice to mix with your favorite magnesium powder and sparkling water or prebiotic soda. You’ll sleep like a baby all Dry January long.

7. Organic Sparkling Rosé Tea Beverage

This beverage looks and tastes like sipping on a crisp, sparkling glass of rosé, but instead of wine, it’s made with a blend of four teas, plus white grape juice, hibiscus flowers, orange peel, and rose hips. With no added sugar, it’s not too sweet, perfect if you usually prefer your wine on the drier side. It has a floral, citrusy flavor that’s totally worthy of your fanciest glassware.

8. Organic Jalapeño Limeade

For all my girls who love a spicy marg: This jalapeño limeade is basically the same thing, sans tequila. It’s refreshingly tart, a little spicy, and extra fun if you drink it in a cute glass with a Tajin rim. You won’t even miss the alcohol!

9. Sparkling Tea & Lemonade

Trader Joe’s beverage section is full of fun, outside-the-box flavors, but if you like the stick to the classics, this one is for you. This canned drink takes the quintessential combo of iced tea and lemonade and adds a bright, fizzy finish. Sip this throughout Dry January whenever you wish you were on a beach somewhere instead.

10. Tangerine Probiotic Sparkling Beverage

Fans of gut-healthy sodas like Olipop and Poppi will love Trader Joe’s new probiotic sparkling beverages. Available in Tangerine and Ginger + Lemon, these fizzy drinks feel like a little treat without any of the guilt.

11. Triple Ginger Brew

If you like your sparkling beverages more on the spicy side, Trader Joe’s Triple Ginger Brew will be right up your alley. The ginger flavor packs quite a punch, but the addition of cane sugar and honey keeps it from being too over-the-top.

12. Cold Pressed Pineapple Juice

Pineapple juice is a favorite mixer at most bars—you can pair it with tequila, vodka, or rum, or use it in place of orange juice in a mimosa—but it’s also delicious on its own. This cold-pressed option from Trader Joe’s can be enjoyed straight from the bottle, but I love pouring it into a fun cocktail glass and topping it with sparkling water to create a tropical-inspired mocktail.

13. Sparkling Pomegranate Punch Beverage

I’ll admit it: I’m a sucker for drinks that look pretty and taste good, and this sparkling pomegranate punch ticks both boxes. I was initially drawn to it because of the cute, illustrated package, but the flavors are what keep me coming back for more. It’s bubbly and filled with bright fruity flavors, including pomegranate, pineapple, orange, and apple.

14. To the Power of Seven Purple Organic Juice Blend

Yes, the name is a mouthful, but don’t let that deter you from trying this delightfully complex fruit juice blend. Notes of tart cherry, pomegranate, black mulberry, red grape, cranberry, blueberry, and even purple carrot all come together to create a sip that’s surprising and sweet.

15. Raspberry Lime Sparkling Water

No list of alcohol-free drinks would be complete without at least one flavored sparkling water. While Trader Joe’s does sell their seltzers in cans, I’m partial to these oversized bottles that I can sip on throughout the day. I never leave the store without at least one bottle of the raspberry lime flavor.

16. Sparkling Strawberry Juice Beverage

This sparkling strawberry juice is another item I initially bought because of the cute package—what can I say, I’m easily influenced—but it quickly became one of my go-to Trader Joe’s drinks. It hits that perfect sweet spot (pun intended) of feeling a little indulgent without being overly sugary.

17. Seltzer Water Flavored with Lemon and Ginger Juice

This refreshing, lemon and ginger-infused sparkling water makes a perfect pick-me-up if you need something to get you through the afternoon slump. To make it feel a little fancier, pour it into a glass over ice and garnish with a slice of lemon.

18. Sparkling Elderberry + Pomegranate Apple Cider Vinegar Beverage

Source: Bridget Mallon

Don’t let the addition of apple cider vinegar scare you away—these canned drinks are a delight even if you don’t love the taste of vinegar. Available in Elderberry + Pomegranate, Lemon + Strawberry, and Ginger + Lemon, you’re sure to find one that suits your personal palate.
