French Gendarmerie National Police Force Orders 26 Alpine A110 Sports Cars - autojosh

Production of the Alpine A110 is nearing its end. This marks the conclusion of the car we’ve known for over eight years. The French manufacturer has announced a final production run of 1,750 units of the Alpine A110.

This is probably your very last chance to buy a petrol-powered Alpine A110. The French powerhouse, unveiled at the Geneva Motor Show in March 2017, marking the Alpine brand’s return to form, is entering its final phase of life. We already knew that 2025 would be the final year the A110 would be produced, but now Alpine has actually announced the final run of 1,750 units.

A lot is changing at Alpine. In the form of the A290, it launched a sporty version of the electric Renault 5. That was Alpine’s first EV, but certainly not the last. The Alpine A390—an electric four-seater—also exists, and even the A110 is heading towards an electric future. It will be introduced next year. We’ve also seen the first signs of a stretched coupe that may be called the A310.

Until then, the Alpine A110 is still available as a variant simply called the A110, as the A110 GTS, and as the A110 R 70. Only 50 of the latter will be produced. Each will feature a 1.8-liter four-cylinder petrol engine.
