Jeep finally launched the Recon SUV. It hits production early next year – the original target was 2024. It’s not the brand’s first electric SUV; Jeep already launched the Wagoneer S, which we can now officially call a Jeep, but the Recon is the first off-road-oriented Jeep EV. The brand has acknowledged that the Recon is Wrangler-inspired, if not the electric Wrangler. And, at least with the introductory Moab version, it met Jeep’s requirements for a Trail Rated badge.
