Tesla Semi Just Ran a Full Route at 15¢/Mile… Diesel Trucks Are Out Here Crying in $1-Per-Mile Therapy

Breaking: Tesla Semi just did a real-world delivery run and the energy cost came out to 15 cents per mile.

Fifteen. Cents.

Meanwhile your average diesel semi is sitting at the pump like: “$1.20 per mile just for fuel… plus maintenance… plus DEF fluid… plus the soul-crushing guilt of existing… I need a hug.”

Semi driver (diesel): “I spent $400 on fuel to go 300 miles. Send help.” Tesla Semi driver: “I spent $4.50. I’m buying everyone tacos after this run.”

The test basically proved:

  • Electric long-haul = clean air
  • Electric long-haul = wallet staying fat
  • Electric long-haul = diesel trucks refreshing Indeed for “anything but trucking” jobs

Regen braking so strong the Semi is basically getting paid to slow down.

Freight economics in 2026: “Sorry diesel bros, the future called… it wants its lunch money back.”

Who’s ready to see entire fleets go electric and watch diesel prices panic-sell like it’s 2008?

Drop a ⚡ if your next long-haul fantasy includes 15¢/mile and zero DEF guilt trips.
