Taylor Swift, Travis Kelce Give $26 Million to 20 Charities Before Reported Wedding

Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce have donated $26 million to at least 20 charities across the United States ahead of their reported wedding this weekend in New York.

A representative announced the donations this week. However, the statement did not mention the reported wedding. It simply said, “This week, Travis Kelce and Taylor Swift donated $26 million to charities across the United States. They include the following…”

The donations will benefit nine food banks, an animal welfare organisation, seven education programmes and three children’s hospitals. The recipients include City Harvest, Food Bank For NYC, Feeding America, the ASPCA, Dolly Parton’s Imagination Library, Grammy In The Schools, MSK Kids at Memorial Sloan Kettering Cancer Centre, Hassenfeld Children’s Hospital at NYU Langone and Children’s Mercy Hospital in Kansas City.

Food Banks Confirm $1 Million Gifts

City Harvest confirmed it received a $1 million donation from the couple.

“We are incredibly grateful for Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce’s generous $1 million donation to City Harvest. This donation is a love letter to New York, and a bold commitment to our efforts to ensure that no New Yorker goes hungry,” said Jilly Stephens, CEO of City Harvest. “Their support comes at a critical time, with visits to New York City soup kitchens and food pantries near record highs and expected to increase further in response to federal funding cuts.”

The Rhode Island Community Food Bank also announced a $1 million gift.

“We are incredibly grateful to Taylor Swift and Travis Kelce for their extraordinarily generous and unexpected gift,” said Melissa Cherney, the food bank’s CEO. “As the need across our communities continues to grow, this $1 million donation will go a long way in helping us purchase and distribute the nutritious, culturally appropriate food that Rhode Islanders deserve. I hope their gift inspires others; it has certainly inspired us.”

Wedding Still Unconfirmed

Swift has a long history of supporting food banks, children’s hospitals, disaster relief efforts and animal rescue groups.

Neither Swift nor Kelce has confirmed reports of a wedding celebration at Madison Square Garden. However, reports say officials and workers at the venue expect wedding events to take place there this weekend.
