Taekwondo Federation President Tayo Popoola Praises Motivational Impact Of NSC’s Leaders

Taekwondo Federation of Nigeria (TFN) president, Tayo Popoola has praised what she referred to as the much-desired motivational impact and psychological boost being given by the National Sports Commission (NSC’s) current leaders.

Sports247 reports that Popoola expressed total delight after NSC director-general, Honourable Bukola Olopade turned up to witness the ongoing taekwondo national trials in Abeokuta, which she described as another proof of the caring nature of the commission’s officials.

The taekwondo boss went on to commend Olopade and NSC chairman, Mallam Shehu Dikko for putting in a place psychological and physical boosts that would encourage Nigerian athletes to go all out in order to achieve glory for the country.

She further cited the DG’s visit as part of the inclusivity policy of the NSC’s new management, in which she noted that every sport gets adequate support and motivation to excel at major continental and global competitions.

Popoola posited that Olopade’s visit to the national trials will go a long way to mentally and psychologically motivate the athletes ahead of this year’s African Taekwondo Championship.

She added, “What the DG has done cannot be quantified. Over the years, these are some of the missing pieces in the administration of sports in Nigeria. I am not surprised at all, because Hon Bukola Olopade and Mallam Shehu Dikko have really repositioned Nigerian sports on the right path.”

Sports247 reports further that Nigeria’s national trials are currently going on in Abeokuta, Ogun State to select a team for the African Taekwondo Championship, scheduled to hold from May 28th to June 2nd in Bamako, Mali.
