IBADAN — Oyo South Senatorial aspirant, Hon. Bolanle Aliyu-Sarumi, popularly known as BASA, has hailed the judiciary and the leadership of the Peoples Democratic Party following the Supreme Court’s verdict that affirmed the party’s position in a recent legal dispute.

In a statement issued to reporters in Ibadan on Thursday, BASA described the judgment as a landmark victory for democracy, the rule of law, and judicial independence.

She commended the Supreme Court for its courage, impartiality, and commitment to justice, noting that the ruling has strengthened public confidence in Nigeria’s legal system and reaffirmed the judiciary as the last hope of the common man.

BASA also praised the leadership of the Minister of the Federal Capital Territory, His Excellency Barr. Nyesom Wike, for his strategic direction and unwavering support for the PDP throughout the legal battle.

She equally hailed the National Chairman, Abdulrahman, and the National Secretary, Senator Samuel Anyanwu, for their boldness and steadfast commitment to the party’s cause.

BASA further commended Oyo political garrison, His Excellency Barr. Hazeem Gbolarumi, for his consistency and dedication to the PDP beyond the court case, and congratulated members nationwide.

“This Supreme Court victory underscores the independence of our judiciary and its role in safeguarding democracy. The judgment confirms that the PDP is a party anchored on constitutionalism, inclusion, and the will of the people,” BASA said.

A grassroots mobilizer and entrepreneur, BASA stated that the verdict provides fresh momentum for the PDP to deepen people-centered governance, accelerate job creation, and advance social justice across Nigeria.

She urged party leaders and members to consolidate the victory by strengthening grassroots engagement, prioritizing real issues, and demonstrating the PDP’s commitment to honest leadership and improved living standards.

BASA reaffirmed her promise to serve the party and deliver strong representation for Oyo South if elected to the Senate in 2027.
