Super Eagles set for training session ahead South Africa clash

The Super Eagles will hold their first and only training session in Bloemfontein on Monday night, ahead of Tuesday’s crucial 2026 FIFA World Cup qualifier against South Africa.

The session will take place at the Toyota Stadium and is scheduled to begin at 6pm Nigerian time. 

According to the team’s media officer, Promise Efoghe, the first 15 minutes of training will be open to the media and fans.

The Eagles arrived in Bloemfontein at about 6:25pm local time on Sunday with a 22-man squad.

Star striker Victor Osimhen did not make the trip after picking up an injury in the 1-0 win over Rwanda on Saturday.

Nigeria will lock horns with Bafana Bafana at the Toyota Stadium, Bloemfontein, on Tuesday evening, in a match that could prove decisive for both teams’ World Cup qualification hopes.
