The Code of Conduct Bureau, CCB, in Jigawa State has reminded public officers and political office holders who completed their assets declaration forms to personally submit the documents to avoid unnecessary sanctions.

The reminder was contained in a statement signed by the Jigawa State Director of the Code of Conduct Bureau, Sani Ibrahim Bayero.

The statement urged public office holders who completed their assets declaration forms to personally submit the documents at the Bureau’s office located at the Federal Government Secretariat in Dutse.

According to the statement, the directive is in line with the Bureau’s statutory responsibilities as provided under Paragraph 3 of the Third Schedule to the 1999 Constitution of the Federal Republic of Nigeria (as amended).

It further stressed that the submission of assets declaration forms to any office outside the Code of Conduct Bureau is a breach of the Constitution.

The Bureau urged all affected officers to strictly comply with the directive to avoid unnecessary sanctions, noting that personal submission ensures transparency, accountability, and proper documentation of declared assets.

The statement also reaffirmed the Bureau’s commitment to upholding integrity in the public service and called on public officers to support efforts aimed at promoting good governance and adherence to constitutional provisions.
