A Senior Secondary School (SS3) student of the Government Science and Technical College (GSTC), Potiskum, Yobe State, had d!ed following an alleged bullying incident by fellow students. According to Daily Trust, the deceased was allegedly attacked by some of his classmates on Sunday, February 8, 2026 under circumstances yet to be fully ascertained. One Yahaya Abubakar Sk, who shared a photo of the deceased claimed he d!ed after he was violently b3aten by his classmates who accused him of stealing a phone. The student was said to have been buried the same day in his hometown, Gadaka, Fika Local Government Area of Yobe State. Confirming the incident, the spokesperson for the Yobe State Police Command, SP Dungus Abdulkarim, told the publication that the police had commenced investigation to determine the cause of d3ath. Yes, we are aware of the incident, Abdulkarim said.  Investigation is currently ongoing to ascertain what led to the d3ath of the student." A teacher, who spoke on condition of anonymity, disclosed that some students suspected to be involved had been handed over to the police for further investigation. The school authorities have handed over the suspected students to the police, and investigation is ongoing, the source said.   The post SS3 student d!es in Yobe school after being b3aten by fellow students who accused him of stealing a phone appeared first on Linda Ikeji Blog.
