Speaker Abbas Gifts Brand-New Vehicles to 36 Kaduna Emirs and Chiefs in Grand Ceremony

The Speaker of the House of Representatives, Rt. Hon. Tajudeen Abbas, has donated official vehicles to 36 Emirs and Chiefs in Kaduna State, in a gesture that has earned widespread commendation from traditional rulers and political stakeholders across the state.

The presentation ceremony, held yesterday in Kaduna, was graced by Governor Uba Sani and several All Progressives Congress (APC) stakeholders.

The event was filled with celebration as the Speaker personally handed over the keys to the paramount traditional rulers and party leaders.

Among those who publicly expressed gratitude was the Traditional Ruler of Kuderu Chiefdom, HRH Yakubu Iliya Sauri, who extended profound appreciation to Speaker Abbas for what he described as a significant show of respect and support for traditional institutions.

Sauri noted that the donation transcends mere provision of mobility, stressing that it symbolises unity and cooperation among leaders.

He described the gesture as “nothing short of promoting peaceful coexistence and enhancing the unity and corporate duties of the Emirs and Chiefs for a better Kaduna State.”

The Governor of Gombe State, Alhaji Inuwa Yahaya, who was also present at the event, praised Speaker Abbas for demonstrating love and concern for the custodians of culture in Kaduna.

He commended the Speaker’s continued partnership with traditional rulers, describing the gesture as a major boost to community leadership structures.

The ceremony further strengthened the Speaker’s bond with monarchs across the state and underscored the importance of collaboration between political office holders and traditional institutions in fostering peace and development.
