SOUTH KOREA’S FIVE ‘KIMS’ AT WORLD CUP OPENER TRENDS

The listing of five players bearing the same name, Kim, by the South Korea team at their World Cup opening game on Thursday has been trending on social media.

South Korea named all five players in the defence and in goal, meaning the entire backline have the same name. They include veteran goalkeeper, Kim Seung-gyu, Kim Min-jae (Centre Back), Kim Young-gwon (Centre Back), Kim Moon-hwan (Right-back) and Kim Jin-su (Left Back).

The team is also made up of three player with the name, Hwang.
