Shooting Stars Get Boost as Governor Makinde Reassures of Strong Support

In the early hours of Thursday, October 2nd, 2025, the Chairman of Shooting Stars Sports Club, Hon. Taiwo Lekan Salami, paid a courtesy visit to Governor Seyi Makinde to present a progress report on the club’s developments since his appointment.

Also in attendance were Engr. Akin Akinleye, Executive Assistant to the Governor on Sports Development, and passionate 3SC supporter Idris Animasaun.

During the meeting, Hon. Salami expressed his deep gratitude to Governor Makinde for his unwavering support of Shooting Stars. He presented the club’s official merchandise to His Excellency and extended a special invitation to attend our NPFL Matchday 7 fixture, which the Governor graciously accepted.

Governor Makinde reaffirmed his earlier pledge of a special match bonus following our recent victory over Warri Wolves and expressed strong confidence in the club’s current leadership, describing it as the driving force behind 3SC’s progress.

His Excellency’s steadfast support remains a powerful source of motivation as we continue striving for greater success, both on and off the pitch.

This visit further strengthens the bond between Shooting Stars and the Government of Oyo State, reinforcing a shared vision to restore the glory of 3SC and deliver pride and joy to the teeming supporters of the Oluyole Warriors.
