She Was Pregnant For Another Man While She Took Money From Me

Whenever she wanted something from me, she became extremely nice. She would call in the morning and ask about my night. She would call in the afternoon and ask how my day was going and then in the evening, she would place a request. Something like, “If you don’t send me something, I will sleep in the darkness today. My pre-paid is finished.”

We’d been in a relationship for a year. I was with her at the initial stages until my job took me far away from this place to work.

It got to a point where I was the only one doing the calls. I was the one texting, the only one watering the relationship. I talked to her about it and she said she was going to change. She did well for a few days and went back to default. I asked if there was someone. I asked if she was out of love with me. I asked if there was something I wasn’t doing.

She said all was well.

I woke up one morning and saw her many missed calls. She had called around 4am when I was sleeping. We hadn’t spoken for days. When I called back, she said she had missed me and was feeling lonely and wanted us to talk.

I knew something was coming. Before she ended the call she said, “My mom is not well ooo. She’s in a critical condition and I need only GHC500 for her medicine.”

I answered, “I don’t have it.”
She said, “Alright” and the call ended.

I sent a friend to spy on her and he came back laughing. He said, “Charle, forget about her. She’s heavily pregnant.”

I was like, “Huh? For who? So all this while she was collecting money from me, she was pregnant for another man?”

I called her. Immediately I mentioned the pregnancy, she said, ”Do I also know what you’re doing there? Bra, don’t waste my time.”

And then she cut the call. I felt like a fool and I deserved it. I saw the signs but didn’t take things seriously. In my next life, nothing will push me into a long-distance relationship, no matter what.
