Sevilla sporting director Victor Orta has revealed that the club is open to selling Super Eagles Kelechi Iheanacho if they get a satisfactory offer,  Soccernet.ng reports.

Iheanacho has failed to make a big impact at Sevilla since his free transfer last summer. The Nigerian forward was expected to lift the team when he was signed, but he has not had many opportunities to do so. He has had to play second-fiddle to Isaac Romero who has not been great himself.

Due to Iheanacho’s struggles, there have been talks that Sevilla are looking to offload him for a better striker. This month, the talks have gotten more serious, as Premier League clubs Ipswich Town and Wolverhampton Wanderers have reportedly contacted Sevilla for a possible deal.

Los Nervionenses sporting director Orta has a press conference in Tuesday, and he admitted that the club are open to doing business, depending on the kind of bid that comes in and Iheanacho’s decision.

“The market is open. We have the obligation to study all the offers. There are three parts. The players also have their feelings about their future. With the market open, anything can happen with any name,” Orta said, per Diario de Sevilla.

Meanwhile, Sevilla are desperate to make sales, as that is the only way they can bring in reinforcements. If they get a good deal, they would surely let Iheanacho leave.

Nonetheless, the former Leicester City man will be hoping to an upturn in his form in the coming weeks to impress Sevilla or at least attract some decent clubs.
