The motorcycle was recovered and the suspect remains in custody.

Three days later, on September 20, officers from the same division arrested another suspect in Gamsarka village, Auyo LGA, in connection with the theft of a red Boxer motorcycle.

The police stated that the suspect was apprehended with the motorcycle, which is believed to have been stolen from Auyo market.

In Gagarawa LGA, authorities took into custody 22-year-old Abdussalam, reportedly a “notorious thief” who has been troubling residents of Guard-line Quarters.

Among the items recovered were three new wrappers, a long knife, a power bank, and a pair of scissors. He is now undergoing interrogation.

The Command stated that coordinated raids were also conducted in Kazaure and Kanya Babba towns, resulting in the arrest of four individuals suspected of drug trafficking.

They were identified as Sulaiman Adamu, 26; Usman Auwalu, 25; Kamal Mohammed Cillala; and Aliyu Abdullahi, 25.

Items seized during the operation included 81 wraps of Indian hemp, 281 Exol tablets, 31 Diazepam pills, 10 rubber solutions, 4 Tramadol capsules, 4 Lara capsules, 2 suck-and-die substances, and ₦40,855, believed to be proceeds from drug sales.

The Commissioner of Police, CP Dahiru Muhammad, commended the operatives for their “commitment and professionalism” and reassured residents that the Command remains steadfast in its fight against crime.

He encouraged citizens to keep providing reliable information to the police.

“We remain determined to make Jigawa State safer and more secure,” he said.
