Turaki made us productive over the years — Sarkin Fulani

Farmers across Kwara Central have expressed appreciation to Senator Saliu Mustapha for his continued agricultural support, describing his support as a major boost to agricultural development in the district.

Speaking during the just-concluded distribution of 3,500 bags of fertilizer and farm inputs to farmers in Kwara Central, a representative of the Sarkin Fulani, Mallam Yusuf, who spoke on behalf of the Fulani community in Kwara State, commended the Senator for extending the gesture to their members who are farmers.

He said, “Senator Mustapha has once again shown that he is committed to improving the lives of farmers. The support will go a long way in enhancing our productivity and ensuring that our community members remain active contributors to food production in Kwara and beyond.”

Another beneficiary, Hajia Sherifat Issa, applauded the lawmaker for prioritizing women farmers, noting that his consistent support have not only encouraged food security but also empowered women to contribute meaningfully to the agricultural sector.

In her words, “This gesture is not just about fertilizer or inputs; it is about giving women farmers a voice and the confidence to play their role in feeding the nation. Senator Mustapha has continued to prove that he understands the challenges we face and is ready to support us.”

The fertilizers and farm inputs, which were distributed to farmers through various associations, form part of the Senator’s efforts to support farmers across the district with critical inputs needed for increased productivity.

The benefiting associations include the All Farmers Association of Nigeria (AFAN), Amana Farmers, Nigerian Women for Agricultural Progress, Nigerian Association of Women in Agriculture, and the Kwara State Chamber of Commerce (Agric Sector), among others.

Senator Saliu Mustapha, who chairs the Senate Committee on Agriculture, has consistently supported initiatives that strengthen food security and improve farmers’ welfare.
