The school is part of Kenya’s public senior secondary education system and currently falls under the C2 institutional classification, formerly known as Extra-County schools, following the Ministry of Education’s revised school categorisation.

Seko Girls Secondary School serves learners drawn mainly from Uasin Gishu County and neighbouring regions and has continued to play a key role in promoting girls’ education in the area.

Performance

Over the years, Seko Girls Secondary School has posted steady improvement in the Kenya Certificate of Secondary Education (KCSE) performance.

In the 2023 KCSE, only 3 achieved a mean grade of C+ or higher out of 33 candidates, though this was an improvement from very low numbers in previous years,
