SAUDI ARABIAN WOMAN SENTENCED TO 45 YEARS IN PRISON OVER SOCIAL MEDIA POSTS






A Saudi Arabian woman, Nourah al-Qahtani has been sentenced to 45 years in prison over posts she made on social media. 

A terrorism court in Saudi Arabia charged her for using the internet to tear the social fabric” and “violating public order by using social media.” 

I will also mention here that just a few weeks ago, a women’s rights defender Salma al-Shehab was sentenced to 34 years in prison over her Twitter posts.
