Samsung Just Became Tesla’s Official Chip Dealer in Texas. AI5 chips rolling off the line in 2027… Optimus is already practicing his victory dance.

Samsung just dropped the news everyone was waiting for:

“Yes, we will mass-produce Tesla’s next-gen AI5 chips right here in Taylor, Texas. High-volume production starts second half of 2027. You’re welcome, America.”

Translation for normal humans:

Tesla’s future brains (the ones that will run your Robotaxi, your Optimus robot, and probably your toaster) are no longer going to be made only overseas. They’re getting built in Texas by Samsung, like a high-tech barbecue joint that serves silicon instead of brisket.

This means:

• Massive performance jump over HW4
• Less reliance on foreign foundries
• Prototype chips arriving in 2026
• Full production in 2027 (just in time for the robot uprising to be properly scheduled)

Meanwhile Intel and GlobalFoundries are somewhere refreshing their résumés while Elon and the Samsung team are high-fiving over “Made in Texas” stickers.

Future scenario in 2028: You pull up in your Robotaxi and say “Take me home.” The car replies in a smooth Texas drawl: “Hold on partner, let me ask my Samsung brain real quick.”

Samsung: “We just make the chips.”

Tesla: “We just make the robots that will one day ask Samsung for a raise.”
