Samsung Introduces The Triple-Folding Galaxy Z TriFold

Before you know it, the compact device in your hand stretches, bends, and unfolds into a 10-inch screen. Samsung’s new Galaxy Z TriFold doesn’t just fold — it transforms.

The South Korean tech giant has officially unveiled the Galaxy Z TriFold, its boldest triple-folding smartphone-tablet, featuring a massive 10-inch AMOLED display, a revamped hinge system, and a price tag that pushes the limits of today’s premium devices.

At first glance, the TriFold looks like a thicker, beefier cousin of Samsung’s Z Fold line. But once you open it, the device expands into a pocket-sized tablet with three connected panels and a precisely engineered dual-hinge setup.

The upgraded Armor FlexHinge — two separate hinge sizes working together — allows the phone to close securely without the awkward gaps that often plague foldables. Samsung says the design has been tested extensively to survive years of daily bending.

When folded, the TriFold measures 12.9 mm thick and weighs a hefty 309 grams — noticeably thicker than the Galaxy Z Fold 7. But it compensates with a sizable 6.5-inch 1080p cover screen offering everyday usability without requiring the device to unfold. It has a sturdier frame made of titanium and reinforced polymer materials.

Inside, the big draw is the 10-inch Dynamic AMOLED 2X display (2160 × 1584, 120 Hz), capable of running three apps side-by-side and even operating Samsung DeX directly on the device — no external monitor required. It is powered by Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 8 Elite chipset, paired with 16GB of RAM and 512GB of storage.

On the camera front, it features a 200 MP main camera, a 12 MP ultrawide lens, and a 10 MP telephoto 3x telephoto, with dual 10 MP selfie cameras available depending on how the device is held.

Although the TriFold packs a 5,600 mAh triple-cell battery, running apps across a 10-inch display will undoubtedly test its endurance. Fast charging helps — Samsung claims 0–50% in 30 minutes.

Samsung’s Galaxy Z TriFold launches on December 12 in South Korea for KRW 3,590,400 before rolling out to global markets, including the U.S., in early 2026.
