Samardeep bags shot put gold at National Open Athletics meet

Samardeep Singh Gill clinched his second consecutive shot put title at the National Open Athletics Championships with a 19.79m throw, outperforming national record holder Tajinderpal Singh Toor. Other notable gold medalists included Damneet Singh in hammer throw, debutant Nitin Gupta in men's 20km race walk, and Deepika in women's javelin throw.
