Rumor Roundup (Oct. 5, 2026): WrestleMania 43 backup plan, TNA surprise, Being the Elite, more!

Whatever would WWE do about WrestleMania if Saudi Arabia is no longer a viable option next year? Let’s read some rumors.

Lead Rumor: WrestleMania backup plan

WWE is still planning to move ahead with its currently scheduled dates in Saudi Arabia next month for Crown Jewel and next April for WrestleMania 43. But, as the Wrestling Observer Newsletter mentions, they need backup plans in the event that travel conditions become untenable around those dates.

In the case of WrestleMania, they still don’t have a date just yet.

Either way, Dave Meltzer indicated Las Vegas will not be viable as a backup plan next year because they don’t have the dates available and they don’t have the same kind of money to spend on it as they have the past couple years when WWE ran Allegiant Stadium.

It’s still not expected the company will have to move its biggest show of the year but if they do, it won’t be back in “Sin City.”

Other rumors floating around

• According to PW Insider, TNA is planning for a surprise debut at Bound for Glory from a “former tag team champion.”
• For what it’s worth, Matt Hardy claimed on his podcast that Tony Khan “hadn’t been happy” with some of the things The Elite were doing on Being The Elite.
• Per Fightful Select, Scorpio Sky still hasn’t signed a new contract with AEW as of All Out. His contract is believed to be up sometime this month.
