“Rape Affects Women, But False Rape Allegations Doesn’t Affect Men” – Silverbird TV Presenter Joy Tells Yhemolee

Silverbird TV presenter Joy has responded strongly to comments made by nightlife personality Yhemolee regarding rape and false accusations.

During her reaction, Joy dismissed claims that false rape allegations have destroyed careers of many men, arguing that several high-profile figures accused in the past are still thriving professionally.

Citing cases involving entertainer D’banj, Pastor Biodun Fatoyinbo, and Pastor Chris Okafor, she maintained that despite public controversies and allegations, “these men still have booming careers and loyal followers.”

Joy stressed that while false accusations are wrong and should be punished, they should not be equated with rape.

“Rape is very bad. It affects a woman physically, psychologically and mentally,” she said, but added that placing rape and false accusations on the same scale is “not logical.”

She also questioned why some voices only speak up when discussing false allegations but remain silent when rape cases initially surface.

Her comments have since sparked conversations online, with many debating the weight and consequences of both rape and false accusations.
