  • Ultimate Edition revives signature blue paint from the 2015 SVR.
  • Twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 delivers 626 hp with mild-hybrid assist.
  • Production is limited to just 500 units, all reserved for the UK.

Land Rover is leaning into nostalgia with a new UK-exclusive special edition of its performance flagship. The Range Rover Sport SV Ultimate Edition pays tribute to the original SVR from 2015, reviving one of the most recognizable colors the brand has ever offered.

The headline act is the return of Velocity Blue Gloss, appearing on the current-generation Range Rover Sport SV for the first time. It is a clear nod to the old SVR, although the Ultimate Edition is also available in Obsidian Black Satin or Ethereal Frost Satin for buyers who prefer something a little more discreet.

Those paint finishes are paired with a Black roof and pillars, which match the emblems and exterior accents. The SUV also sits on 23-inch forged alloy wheels finished in either Dark Grey or Black, with blue or black brake calipers adding some contrast.

Curated Interior

The cabin is trimmed in perforated Windsor leather in Light Cloud and Ebony, with a panoramic roof included as standard. This special edition keeps all the SV’s party pieces too, including the 29-speaker Meridian sound system and the “Body and Soul Seats”. These use haptic transducers that let you feel the bass through your spine, which is either wonderfully immersive or slightly alarming depending on your playlist.

Specs & Performance

There are no mechanical upgrades over the standard SV. Not that it really needs any. Power still comes from the familiar BMW-sourced twin-turbo 4.4-liter V8 with a mild-hybrid system, producing 626 hp (467 kW / 635 PS) and 750 Nm (553 lb-ft) of torque. Activate Dynamic Launch Mode and that torque briefly climbs to 800 Nm (590 lb-ft), thanks to a helping shove from the electric motor.

Despite the missing SVR badge, the numbers remain properly serious. The big SUV storms from 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 3.7 seconds and continues to a top speed of 180 mph (290 km/h). It also features the clever 6D Dynamics suspension, a hydraulically interlinked system designed to keep body roll, pitch, and dive under control.

For comparison, the original SVR used a Jaguar-sourced supercharged 5.0-liter V8 producing 550 hp (558 PS) and 502 lb-ft (680 Nm) of torque. The Ultimate Edition of that model nudged output up to 567 hp (575 PS) and 516 lb-ft (700 Nm). Even by today’s standards it was properly quick, hitting 0-60 mph (0-96 km/h) in 4.3 seconds and topping out at 162 mph (260 km/h).

Only For The UK

The 2026 Range Rover SV Ultimate Edition is not a global release. Land Rover will build just 500 units, all destined for the UK market. Prices start at £145,995 ($194,700), which is a serious sum, though not unusual territory for an SV-badged Range Rover.
