Lesson 1

There are 3 types of tyres - A, B and C. it is written on the Tyre. Check before buying.

Buy only class A if you are in Nigeria.

These are the tyres for Tropical regions like Nigeria.

If your brother sends you a car from Canada, you cannot drive with its tyres because it will most likely be a Type C.

Lesson 2

Tyres last 4 years before expiry.

Before buying, check for the manufacturing date. It comes as 4 digits like 3022.

3022 means the 30th week in Year 2022 is the manufacturing date.

This means it will expire in the 30th week of 2026.

Driving expired tyres is an offence.

Lesson 3

When fixing new tyres, put the strong ones (new ones) at the back.

Most of us do it wrongly by putting them at the front.

Lesson 4

You are not allowed to use the small Tyre (donut tyre) that comes with your car as spare tyre in Nigeria.

You must buy a regular tyre as spare tyre.

Lesson 5

When driving behind a car, give enough space such that you can sight its tyres.

Bumper to bumper driving is a Lagos disease and is wrong.
