President William Ruto Visits Uhuru Kenyatta at His Gatundu Home [PHOTOS]

President William Ruto has on Monday paid a courtesy call to former head of state Uhuru Kenyatta. Ruto visited Uhuru at his Gatundu home.

While talking to her social media account, the spokesperson of the 4th President of Kenya, Kanze Dena, revealed that the two leaders discussed various issues. One of the main focuses was on the national interest.

“President William Ruto pays a courtesy call to former President Uhuru Kenyatta at his Gatundu home. The two leaders discussed issues of national interest.” Kanze Dena said on her social media accounts

Additionally, President William Ruto and Mr Kenyatta agreed to work closely going forward. The two leaders pledged their support for the candidacy of former ODM boss Raila Odinga in his quest for chairmanship of the African Union Commission. They further took the opportunity to wish Kenyans Merry Christmas and Happy New Year.

President Ruto’s impromptu meeting with Uhuru Kenyatta caught many Kenyans by surprise, given the fact that the two leaders have not been in the same boat for several years.

Prior to this, Uhuru and his former deputy Ruto had met at a church event in Embu in November. It was at this event that locals of Embu showed their love to Uhuru Kenyatta in the presence of President William Ruto.

Now, their meeting has raised eyebrows from both of their supporters. This is Ruto, who has been in the spotlight after he dumped his deputy, Rigathi Gachagua, who is from Mt. Kenya, just like Uhuru.
