Popular Influencer Kiara Brokenbrough Dies at 32 While Giving Birth to First Child

Popular influencer Kiara Brokenbrough has tragically died at the age of 32 while giving birth to her first child.

According to reports, Kiara passed away on March 30, 2026. The heartbreaking news was shared by her mother-in-law, Shaneka Greene, through a GoFundMe page created to support the family.

In the GoFundMe description, Shaneka wrote that Kiara and her husband Joel Brokenbrough had been married for four years and were excitedly expecting their first child, a son named Jonah, in June. The couple had been preparing to move from West Virginia back to California to start their new life as a growing family.

“Unexpectedly,” the message continued, “Kiara went to her Heavenly home while Baby Jonah entered his earthly home.”

The newborn is currently in the Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU), where he has begun his journey to grow stronger each day. The family described Jonah as “a cutie and a fighter,” expressing confidence that, by God’s grace, he will continue to make remarkable progress.

Kiara first captured widespread attention in 2022 when her wedding to Joel went viral on TikTok. The couple managed to host their entire wedding for just $500. Kiara proudly shared that she purchased her wedding dress for only $47, and guests were asked to buy their own refreshments at the reception.

In a moving Facebook tribute, Joel shared his grief while reaffirming his faith:

“I never imagined I would be writing this, especially so soon. It has taken me time to begin processing what has happened and to make sense of it all. My beautiful, God-fearing, worshipping wife has gone home to be in the presence of the Lord.”

“Through everything that has happened and continues to unfold, I am leaning on the strength of the Lord. Despite the pain I carry as her husband, my faith remains firm and unwavering.”

Sharing a photo of himself holding their newborn son, Joel wrote a powerful message to Jonah:

“Jonah, you are truly blessed, and there is great purpose and authority within your bloodline. God, in His perfect timing, will guide how your life is used for His glory. I believe you will accomplish even greater things than I have, and I will be with you every step of the way.

I have been entrusted by God with the responsibility to raise you, to teach you His word, and to prepare you to carry forward and fulfill your calling. I have made a covenant with the Lord and with your mother to ensure that you continue the legacy we have begun, honoring God in all that we do.

No one will come between us or interfere with the bond we share or the purpose placed on our lives. Wherever God leads us, we will follow. Whatever He calls us to speak, we will speak with conviction and faith.
