Gongoshi is a locality located in Yola, Adamawa State. It has been in existence for many years. The area was named after the first person who settled there, and over time, other nomadic Fulani people also joined and established their families in the area.

Gongoshi is home to people from various tribes, including Fulani, Mbilawa, Kugamawa, and a small number of Lakawa people. The community is led by a district head known as "Mai Jimilla," who has 13 "Mai Anguwa" under him.

The Gongoshi community primarily engages in animal husbandry, raising cows, goats, sheep, chickens, ducks, and guinea fowls. They also cultivate crops such as rice, guinea corn, maize, beans, cotton, and sesame seeds. The houses in Gongoshi are mostly traditional "Bukka" houses, with a few modern houses present.
