In a heartwarming display of gratitude and commitment to education, Mallam Abubakar Buba Kwacham, a prominent education enthusiast and alumnus, has donated a generous sum of five million naira (N5m) towards the rehabilitation and construction of a library at Mubi One Primary School in Loko, Mubi North Local Government Area of Adamawa State.

The donation was announced during the school’s grand centenary celebration, marking 100 years of academic excellence and community impact. Kwacham joined hundreds of fellow alumni in the joyous event, using the occasion to rally support for the institution that shaped his early years.

Speaking at the ceremony, Kwacham highlighted the school’s profound legacy, noting that Mubi One Primary School has produced outstanding Nigerians who have made significant contributions to the development of Adamawa State, Northern Nigeria, and the nation as a whole. “This institution has been a cradle of greatness,” he said, urging other alumni and participants to contribute towards its sustained growth.

As a stalwart of the All Progressives Congress (APC), Kwacham emphasized the critical importance of educating the girl child and children from less-privileged backgrounds. He called on the government, affluent individuals, and well-meaning citizens to intensify efforts in ensuring universal access to quality education, describing it as the bedrock of national progress.

Kwacham further pledged his ongoing support to the school, promising to intervene in various capacities whenever the need arises. His donation, aimed at modernizing the library facilities, is expected to enhance learning resources and provide a conducive environment for the current generation of pupils.

The centenary event drew widespread acclaim from attendees, who praised Kwacham’s gesture as a model of alumni responsibility. School authorities expressed profound gratitude, stating that the funds would be judiciously utilized to uplift infrastructure.

This act of philanthropy underscores the enduring bond between alumni and their roots, inspiring hope for improved educational standards in rural communities across Adamawa State.
