PETER OBI IS UNGRATEFUL TO SAY I WORKED AGAINST HIM IN 2023 AFTER HELPING HIM IN 2019 – GOV WIKE

Rivers governor, Nyesom Wike, says Labour Party presidential candidate, Peter Obi, is not sincere and unappreciative of his support in time past by saying that he worked against his candidacy during the February 25th presidential election.

Mr Obi, in a post-election interview, had said: “In Rivers where you know the governor came out against me with everything, if the real votes of Rivers are counted, I won. I have over 50 per cent of the votes. The other two parties were sharing the others.” 

Reacting to Mr Obi’s statement in an interview with pressmen in Port Harcourt on Wednesday, Mr Wike expressed dissatisfaction over Mr Obi’s statement.

“I take exception to Peter Obi’s comments that I came out against him,” Mr Wike said. “People are not being sincere, people are not appreciative. In 2019, ask Peter Obi, I was one of the people that chose Peter Obi to be vice presidential candidate to Atiku Abubakar.”
