Not less than a hundred participants attended the orientation exercise of the five day skill acquisition training, sponsored by a non governmental organization based in Ibarapa East Area of Oyo State, Gbadegesin Aderibigbe Foundation.

The orientation program which was held at St. Paul Anglican Primary School, Oke-Imale, Lanlate on Monday had one hundred and three participants across the communities in Ibarapa East Local Government Area.

Amb. Ojewola Olawale, the project coordinator who made the welcome speech on behalf of the visioner said that Gbadegesin Aderibigbe Foundation is a non governmental organization whose priorities are to give back to the society in supporting the efforts of government, particularly within the people of Ibarapa East Local Government.

He further stressed that the foundation has engaged the services of professional in various fields to equip young ones and adults with skills that can help their careers. “The five days training will cover Basic Computer Training, Makeup Artistry, Catering, Bag Making and Soap Making. Having these skills will reduce the rate of idleness in our society as the adage says ‘an idle hand, is a devil’s workshop’, the project coordinator added.

President of the National Association of Lanlate Students, Comrade Akinleye Akinkunmi commended the visioner, Rev. (Prince) Adebowale Aderibigbe for his passionate vision to give back to his community.

Oladele Fatimah from Eruwa, in her own commendation, applauded the gesture of the brain behind Gbadegesin Aderibigbe Foundation, used the opportunity to call on sons and daughters of the community to emulate this kind of thing that will bring development and growth to the community.

The visioner of the foundation, Rev. Prince Adebowale Aderibigbe in his own remark said he was impressed by the good turnout of the people, restated his commitment to give back to the society.

Aderibigbe said the training was the second of its kind, pledged that the exercise will be a continuous project that will be done quarterly, admonished everyone to attend the launching of Gbadegesin Aderibigbe Foundation which holds on Saturday, 11th May, 2024 at Gbayi Olawuyi Civic Center, Opposite New Garage, Lanlate at 10am.
