Osimhen becomes Galatasaray’s fourth-highest scoring foreign player

Galatasaray striker Victor Osimhen became the club’s all-time fourth-highest scoring foreign player on Sunday following his latest goal in the Turkish Super Lig.

Osimhen reached the milestone during Galatasaray’s 3–0 away victory over Rizespor. Barış Alper Yılmaz opened the scoring in the 19th minute before Yunus Akgün doubled the visitors’ advantage later in the first half.

The Nigerian forward then capped the win in the 73rd minute, sealing all three points for Galatasaray.

That strike took Osimhen’s tally to 52 goals for the Istanbul giants, moving him past Bafétimbi Gomis (51) and into fourth place on the club’s all-time list of highest-scoring foreign players.

Only three players now sit ahead of Osimhen in Galatasaray’s foreign scorers’ chart: Mauro Icardi, Gheorghe Hagi, and Milan Baroš.
