ONE Championship: Chafi aiming to get his name in the win column

Mouchine Chafi is looking to notch his first ONE Championship win next week as he takes on Dimitry Menshikov at ONE Fight Night 17. Moroccan Spanish Muay Thai ace Chafi slipped to a unanimous decision loss to the experienced Sinsamut Klinmee on debut earlier this month but has an immediate chance to respond at The Lumpinee Boxing Stadium, Bangkok in the early hours of Saturday morning, December 9. Chafi, a former WBC Light Heavyweight Muay Thai world champion, is now looking to shift his experience and quality into the ONE ranks. Standing in his way will be Russia’s Menshikov. He entered ONE with a fearsome reputation, and an 11-fight win streak which earned him an immediate crack at two-sport king Regian Eersel. That night ended in a first round KO defeat but he was able to rebound in September with an early KO of his own, this time against  Rungrawee Sitsongpeenong. Despite his early setback there is little doubt around Menshikov’s striking ability and this one will be another tough
