Nigerian hip-hop artist Tochukwu Ojogwu, widely recognized by his stage name Odumodublvck, recently ignited a fervent discourse within the Nigerian music industry during an interview on the Afrobeat podcast hosted by Adesope.

Odumodublvck, celebrated for his renowned track “Wotowoto,” seized the opportunity to assert his lyrical capabilities and made audacious proclamations regarding his standing within the Nigerian hip hop landscape.

In reflecting upon the industry’s progression, Odumodublvck disclosed that four years prior, prior to his ascent to prominence, Olamide was esteemed as the preeminent hip hop artist in Nigeria.

Nevertheless, the artist proudly asserted that the dynamics of the industry transformed upon his arrival, confidently asserting his status as a formidable contender in the rap arena.

In discussing the significance of establishing authenticity within the industry, Odumodublvck underscored that any individual who purports to be the foremost rapper must possess substantial evidence, notably an album that substantiates their claim.

The artist additionally addressed his rapport with fellow musician Speed Darlington. In an unguarded moment, Odumodublvck characterized Darlington as his “spirit animal” while clarifying that their relationship does not extend to friendship.
