The Coalition of Okpokwu Youths Group (COYOG) has awarded Hon. Mrs. Juliana Obetta, the Former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Council and other illustrious Okpokwu sons at the fourth edition of the annual Okpokwu Peace Concert popularly called OYIDAY, held on Christmas Day at the Millennium Plaza Okpoga, for their contributions to Societal development.

The annual event being coordinated by the convener of the group and founder of Beyond Boundaries Legacy Leadership Initiative (BBLLI), Comrade Omaga Daniel is a platform that brings Okpokwu sons and daughters, and most importantly, the youth population together, for the singular purpose of promoting peaceful coexistence, tolerance and unity of purpose amongst the districts that make up Okpokwu.

The event which features musical performances, cultural dances, talk show, dance competition, give away and awards, have become a household event amongst the Okpokwu people, as can be seen in the number of people who grace the annual event.

Persons who were awarded for their contributions to Societal development at the fourth edition of the Okpokwu Peace Concert (OYIDAY) include Arch. Dr. Henry Ojobo, the Rector, Benue State Polytechnic, Hon. Juliana Obetta, a former Chairman of Okpokwu Local Government Council, Mr. Emmanuel Ochigbo Afam of St. Alpha Group of Companies, Hon. Johnmary Idoko, MD/CEO of Millennium Ventures LTD and the Okpokwu Divisional Police Officer, CSP Peter Shaga.

Others who have coveted the honour in the previous editions include, Distinguished Senator Patrick Abba Moro, the Senate Minority Leader, His Lordship, Bishop Michael Apochi of Otukpo Catholic Diocese, Chief Emmanuel Ajenu, Proprietor, Cherryfields Group of Schools, Hon. Ralph Otobo Odoh, the Proprietor of Apa College of Education, Barr. Adole Godwin Eche of Executive Director, BAGE Foundation, Mr. Raymond Abah Ochigbo, Executive Director of CROUF, Engr. Uleh Franklin of Shekinah Group of Companies, Yusuf Ogwuche of the Nigerian Army, Prince Simon Ali and Engr. John Ochigbo, who are renowned philanthropists and Community developers from Ichama.

Notable Okpokwu artistes who featured in the year 2025 edition of the Concert include Legendary Mama Juliana Onah, Dontu, KeyBaba, Eni Idoma, MC Amebo, KDO Final, MC 20 Opatali, Melky Welsh, Mzeal Oyidoma, Saint Easy, Sir Prof. Oche, Bexman, Aleluya, George Weah, Simon J, MC Tunes, Zikky Funny, D4 Adagogo, Akpari Best dancers, Perfect dancers amongst others. The fifth edition of the peace concert is billed to hold on December 25, 2026.
