Shuaibu attributed this success to efficient leadership and the strategic deployment of resources, including 8 Toyota Land Cruiser trucks provided by the Comptroller General of Customs, Bashir Adewale Adeniyi MFR.

Speaking on the seizures, he said that command’s commitment to curbing smuggling was achieved through collaborative effort involving gallant officers, intelligence deployment, and cooperation with sister agencies and stakeholders.

Enumerating the accomplishments, Shuaibu detailed the seizure of 122 items, ranging from 901 parcels of Cannabis Sativa to foreign-used Pneumatic Tyres, vehicles, and a substantial quantity of foreign parboiled rice.

Additionally, engagements with state police, NDLEA, DSS, Defense Intelligence Agency, Nigerian Army, and Navy demonstrated the command’s commitment to collaboration.

While reassuring the public of the command’s unwavering dedication to their statutory responsibilities, Deputy Comptroller Shaibu issued a stern warning to smugglers, urging compliance to avoid severe consequences.

“We operate an open-door policy to accommodate the support of patriotic Nigerians. Failure to heed warnings awaits smugglers the full wrath of the law,” he declared.
