Official: Deliberations, consultations delay hiring new Super Eagles coach

Several top officials have told SCORENigeria that the NFF are yet to appoint a new coach for the Super Eagles because the leadership wishes for a collective decision and hence deliberations and consultations among stakeholders.

“The NFF president could on his way decide on who will be the next coach of the Super Eagles, but he would prefer a decision that will carry as many stakeholders as possible,” one of official told SCORENigeria

“That is why every single day since the post was declared vacant, there have been deliberations and consultations on who should get the job.

“It is a process and so it has taken some time.”

Some other officials also insisted that the NFF are very much aware of the importance of engaging the right man for the job.

“We know how crucial it is to make the right appointment,” an official said.

“If the coach failed, we have also failed.”
