WWE NXT RESULTS AND LIVE BLOG FOR FEB. 10

Little Johnny was a clown, a clown indeed he was. Just what he needed was attention to kill his inner frown. Pay you toll, you’re growing old, you’ve seen that life’s a game, but me? I’m just here to liveblog this pro wrestling show for you, folks.

The show opens with a recap of last week’s most eventful show, which is helpful for me because I missed it with a killer migraine.

Newly-minted NXT Men’s Champion Joe Hendry makes his entrance and gets on the mic.

He thanks the crowd for believing in him and talks about how the crowd resurrected him right as Ricky Saints was going to claim the title last week. He talks about his path to the title from amateur wrestling to the TNA World Heavyweight Championship to his song charting around the world to getting to fight Randy Orton at WrestleMania.

He says “we believe” isn’t just a catchphrase, it’s a movement, and–

Enter the Vanity Project to interrupt.

Jackson Drake talks about how inspirational that was and how he could run through a frickin’ wall right now. Of course he’s not being genuine and rants about how Joe shouldn’t have been in the ladder match to begin with and spoiler alert, they’re the ones who took him out because he disrespected them and made Ricky Smokes disappear that time.

“Shut the hell up!” chants ring out and he continues, saying they tried to take him out because he doesn’t belong. Hendry says if they spent as much time coordinating their attacks as they do their outfits maybe they could have taken him out, Jackson mocks him for looking like he’s in a boy band his mom would like and says Vanity Project should finish the job and take the title.

Joe says since they were man enough to cop to attacking him, he’s got no problem defending the title against them and then he lays into them until Drake cuts him off with a chop block and That Damn Numbers Game wins out as usual, Jackson punctuating the exchange with a Busaiku Knee.

ZaRuca are backstage chatting.

Zaria is focused on their miscommunications and Sol Ruca is focused on what a great team they make and how they need to focus on getting back to that. Zaria wants to win the title match in tonight’s tag match, Sol wants it to be every woman for herself, and Zaria says they should just stay out of each other’s way.

Jaida Parker walks and talks, cutting a promo about how if Blake Monroe wanted a fight, she’s got one.

Parker makes her entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Robert Stone gets rolled up on by Keanu Carver.

Carver is upset that Jackson Drake gets a title shot before he does, and Robert explains the situation and that “Heartbreak Man” Shawn Michaels told him he wants chaos, so he’s delivering chaos. Keanu says he can do chaos and walks off, prompting Stone to start after him after a beat and try to stop him, but backs down when Carver confronts him after the interim general manager puts his hand on his shoulder.

Blake Monroe vs. Jaida Parker

Parker jumps Monroe the second she gets in the ring and the referee barely separates them! We get a bell, Blake throws her entrance robe at Jaida, bails to the floor, cuts her off and then beats her down back in the ring! Whip reversed, hard into the turnbuckle, big German suplex from Parker!

Jaida grabs a bodyscissors to grind her down, paintbrushing her head, dragging her into the middle of the ring, Monroe rolls to the ropes for the break! Out on the apron, snapping Parker’s neck over the top rope, in with a Lou Thesz Press and mounted punches! Jaida with a scoop, Blake slips out, northern lariats in the corner!

Parker takes her to the floor and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Monroe mocking Parker’s high step, in the corner, Frankensteiner sets up a dropkick! Running knee caught, Jaida puts some offense together, gets her in the ropes, puts her on the second, clubbing blows to the midsection and the step-up seated senton sets up the high steps!

Out to the floor and brawling as the referee counts…

The match goes to a double count-out draw.

Referees come out of the locker room to try and fail to break it up as the crowd chants “Let them fight!” and Parker gets the better of Monroe, laying her across the steps and the apron and hitting the seated senton! Back inside, Hipnotic takes a referee out when Blake dodges and bails to the floor!

Jaida kicks a security guard in the gentleman’s area and through the barricade as Monroe beats a hasty retreat through the crowd.

We get a Tatum Paxley video package where she talks about hanging on to the Culling too tight before letting go and seeing things clearly and having the strength, comfort, and peace she sought already inside of her.

And so we go to break.

Back from commercial, Kale Dixon confronts Uriah Connors for walking out on Chase U last week.

Uriah complains that Andre Chase held him back and the ersatz Legacy 2.0 rolls up to back Connors up and Dixon storms off.

Arianna Grace says nobody understands their frustrations besides them and Connors says he’s done pretending like he wasn’t born into this business. Lexis King says they just need the final piece of the puzzle and Connors tells him their dads have some history and he’ll talk to “him,” whoever him might be.

Commentary does some promo for a movie called Psycho Killer with the titular masked man in the crowd behind them.

Eli Knight vs. Josh Briggs (WWE Speed Men’s Championship #1 Contender’s Tournament Semifinals)

Knight ducks a boot, big diving splash, Briggs rolls to the floor, Eli off the ropes, Josh cuts him off but he slips free and nails him with a dropkick. Knight step-up Orihara moonsault connects, back inside, back and forth, superkick from Knight sets up the Busaiku Knee, up top with a minute on the clock…

Eli Knight wins by pinfall with the diving moonsault.

Knight shakes hands with Elio Lafleur ahead of the finals but Jasper Troy attacks them both and lays Lafleur out with a Black Hole Slam and chokeslams Knight into him!

Darkstate are shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Robert Stone meets Lola Vice in the trainer’s room and says if she’s cleared he has a match for her against Kelani Jordan next week, and she says cleared or not she’s gonna fight her.

A referee rolls up to pull the medic and Mr. Stone away and Jordan attacks Lola and lays her out, stomping on her injured hand!

Backstage a bunch of dudes are laid out and a room is in chaos thanks to Keanu Carver!

Darkstate are in the ring and Dion Lennox is on the mic.

He says they’re on a championship level and they didn’t get the big one last week but whoever wins tonight is his target until the gold is around his waist. Cutler James agrees that he’s a future champion and chides Tony D’Angelo for targeting them when they have no friends or family and has been on a sabbatical after they left him with nothing.

Nothing has changed and Darkstate is stronger than ever and Tony is lonelier than ever. They had to destroy Tony to take charge here and this is his first and final warning to do his soul-searching somewhere else. Osiris Griffin says they haven’t forgotten about the Culling and Saquon Shugars asks what they were thinking going after the tag champs, and they’ll never catch them lagging.

Shawn Spears and Niko Vance appear on the balcony.

Spears says he knows Darkstate were hoping to get a 4-on-2 beatdown going but they’re smarter than that, and they plan first and conquer later. Vance says division splits attention and causes weakness and that’s what they prey on, and dropping them two weeks ago was just a taste of what’s to come as they get hunted and purged of the tag titles.

OTM appear in the crowd and say they aren’t done with the tag titles and if it weren’t for the Vanity Project this conversation wouldn’t be happening and they’d be tag champs. They tell the Culling they can wait if they want to but OTM ain’t.

Hank and Tank come down the aisle and say they’re the only ones that have had a taste of the titles and they’re gonna come back after them after they finish up Vanity Project tonight.

OTM and half of Darkstate brawl with Hank and Tank and Tony D’Angelo appears to hit spinebusters on Lennox and James left in the ring!

Joe Hendry is shown walking backstage to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Robert Stone is walking with a referee and chatting when an interview rolls up and the referee peels off.

He announces a #1 contender’s tag match for next week and runs into Shiloh Hill dressed as Jason Voorhees backstage for some reason.

Stone begs off saying he’s busy and Hill says he won’t take long but–

“All Ego” Ethan Page rolls up and says he’s the star and Shiloh can wait, and Robert tells Hill they’ll circle back and he aims to treat All Ego better than the previous administration did. Page says he’s one away from setting the record for most defenses and he’d like to get there.

Robert says he’s beaten a lot of guys and pitches Elio Lafleur, TNA, and AAA but All Ego swats all of them down. Stone pitches Myles Borne, Ethan isn’t having it–

Shiloh Hill returns to find his lost machete and waves it around inappropriately until Robert Stone pitches a title match for him and All Ego agrees to it.

Jackson Drake vs. Joe Hendry (c) (NXT Men’s Championship)

Drake with a shotgun dropkick, slingshot to the apron, off the top, senton atomico off the top… NOPE! Hendry comes back with a slam, a big biel, big back body drop, lariat sends Jackson to the floor and the champ is fired up! Joe out to the floor, warning Swipe Right, brawling with Drake, back inside, duck a lariat, headlock takeover to grind Jackson down!

Headscissors counter, back to the side headlock, shot off, shoulder block, another headlock takeover! Scoops and slams, cover for two, back to the headlock again, wrenching it in, smashing Drake’s face into the turnbuckles a bunch! Hendry hits a Jackhammer, cover for two! Out to the floor, Swipe Right throw Joe into the steel steps and referee Darryl Sharma ejects them from ringside to send us to break!

Back from commercial, Drake has a cravate locked in, Hendry slings him aside, underhooks, roll into a swinging neckbreaker, big fallaway slam, snap turn zoom smile, stomp stomp clap, goozle, Jackson floats over, Joe goes behind, Olympic Slam connects… NOPE! Bridging German suplex gets Drake a nearfall, Busaiku Knee, cover… STILL NO!

Joe catches him, powerbomb connects, goozle…

Joe Hendry wins by pinfall with Standing Ovation, retaining the NXT Men’s Championship.

Post-match, a man in a hoodie jumps Hendry in the ring and beats him down and it turns out to be Ricky Saints! Springboard tornado DDT!

Backstage, WrenQCC are chatting about their match tonight and agree it doesn’t matter which one of them wins the match tonight.

Hank and Tank make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Darkstate are licking their wounds.

Dion Lennox says it’s on sight with Tony D’Angelo from now on and Cutler James says the plan doesn’t change and he’ll take care of the Tony D’Angelo problem.

Hank and Tank (Hank Walker & Tank Ledger) vs. Swipe Right (Brad Baylor & Ricky Smokes)

Baylor and Ledger to start, mat grappling, Tank swivels his way out of a waistlock and lands a waistlock takedown! Arm drag into an armbar, arm wringer, elbow to the elbow, wrenching it, tag to Walker. Arm drags, cover for two, armbar, Smokes tags in and takes control with a side headlock, shot off and a blind tag, big splash, cover for two.

Working Ricky over, setting him up in the corner, taking him down, working him over, hard whip to the corner, cover for two. Baylor tags in and Swipe Right get Hank in the corner and work him over to send us to break.

Back from commercial, blocking Ledger from the tag, Walker does tag in, taking it to Smokes, shrugging off a chop and hammering him back with one! Spin-out pop-up drop, wheelbarrow Edgecator, Baylor runs in and tags in! Dropkick / spinebuster combination… TANK BREAKS IT UP! Spin-out back suplex and a dive from Hank and Tank!

Tag to Ledger, shirts off, fired up, sandwiching Brad in the middle of the ring, up for the slam, Smokes runs in and breaks it up with a dropkick, Baylor with a knee, Tank with a lariat, both men are down and out! The Culling come to the stage, referee distracted, Jackson Drake runs down, cheap shot…

Swipe Right wins by pinfall with a schoolboy from Brad Baylor on Tank Ledger.

ZaRuca make their entrance to send us to break.

Back from commercial, Sean Legacy is interviewed backstage.

He says he was caught in Keanu Carver’s path of destruction this week and last week too. He didn’t see it coming either time, but here he is back on his feet, and this sounds crazy because it is, but he wants to fight Keanu. Yeah he’s a badass and he scares the crap out of everybody, but he’s not backing down and he might get his ass kicked, but Carver will know he got a fight.

He pitches the match for two weeks when NXT will be in his home turf in Georgia.

Vanity Project roll up on Robert Stone backstage to demand a spot in the #1 contender’s match next week and Stone gives it them, making it a four-way.

Myles Borne rolls up to complain about being passed over for a title match against Ethan Page. Stone says from now on if he wants to get Ethan’s attention maybe it’s time to do something out of character.

Commentary hypes up next week’s show.

WrenQCC (Kendal Grey & Wren Sinclair) vs. ZaRuca (Sol Ruca & Zaria)

The woman who wins the fall will be #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.

Grey rolls Ruca up for a nearfall, side headlock, shot off, block a hip toss, Sol handsprings out, standing moonsault comes up empty, basement dropkick comes up empty, stalemate! Kendal with a go-behind, waistlock takedown, standing switch, takedown of her own from Ruca, another standing switch, sling Grey aside, charge in, eat a back elbow!

Up and over, Kendal to the apron, slide back in under, off the ropes, blind tag to Sinclair, a lil Backseatz combination, hammerlock, full nelson, Sol slips out, Wren with a wristlock. Ruca rolls through, steps over, solebutt, whip to the corner, backsplash, tag to Zaria! Stinger Splash, Poetry in Motion, Zaria shoves her teammate and that counts as a tag!

Snapmare, Zaria pulls Sol off the cover! Wren and Ruca trading covers, shoved off, hip toss, Sol lands on her feet and hits an X-Factor for two! Off the ropes, Zaria blind tag, Sinclair slips out, Cobra Twist blocked, Zaria hosses her up, she ducks under, off the ropes, satellite shove into the ropes, tag, dropkick, slingshot stomp from Grey… STILL NO!

Front chancery, Zaria throws her off, Sinclair tags back in, double suplex countered to a double suplex and the WrenQCC is scattered! Drawing Wren up, tag to Sol, double back elbow, Ruca wants the tandem elbow drop and a reluctant Zaria completes it but pulls her off the cover! WrenQCC double dropkicks and they send the bickering duo to the floor!

Sinclair off the top, diving double crossbody connects, Grey steps up… ORIHARA MOONSAULT! WrenQCC secret handshake, fired up and we go to break!

Back from commercial, Grey with a DDT, Zaria down and out, both women crawling for tags and they get them! Sinclair with right hands, lariat, off the ropes, neckbreaker drop, Stinger Splash, butterfly suplex, X-Factor… SO CLOSE! Back and forth, Ruca gets a nearfall out of it, scoop, Sinclair slips out, go-behind, O’Connor roll, Zaria tags in as Sol pops up top!

F-5 on Wren, Ruca back in, Sol Snatcher on Kendal at the same time…

ZaRuca win by pinfall with a Sol Snatcher from Sol Ruca on Kendal Grey, Sol becoming #1 contender to the NXT Women’s Championship.

Post-match, Ruca tries to make up with Zaria but Zaria isn’t having it and slaps her hand away.

Commentary hypes next week’s show up some more.

Fatal Influence come to the ring so Jacy Jayne can square up with her new challenger.

That’s the show, folks.
