The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPCL) on Thursday reduced the pump price of premium motor spirit (petrol) for the second time in less than a week.

Retail checks at NNPCL outlets in Abuja revealed that the state-owned oil company adjusted the fuel price to N920 per liter, down from N930, marking a N10 reduction per litre.

The new price has been implemented at filling stations in Gwarimpa, Kubwa Expressway, and Wuse Zone 4, Abuja.

NNPCL had previously reduced petrol prices on November 28, 2025, by N15 per litre.

Chinedu Ukadike, spokesperson for the Independent Petroleum Marketers Association of Nigeria, noted that petrol prices are expected to continue declining due to competition among major players in the downstream oil sector.
